Balance of Performance at Full Grip Motorsport
Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC) features a diverse lineup of GT3 cars, and to ensure close racing, it employs Balance of Performance (BoP). This system strategically adjusts car parameters on a per-track basis to equalize lap time potential. By carefully managing factors like weight and power, BoP puts the focus on driver skill and strategic decisions in the immersive world of ACC.

Why our BoP looks different

You may notice that most cars show negative ballast values. This is intentional and not about chasing the fastest lap times.

Adding weight to a car changes its handling characteristics. Braking distances increase, turn-in response changes, and the overall car behaviour feels different from what you're used to. To preserve the natural driving feel of every car, we take a different approach. The car that would normally receive the highest positive ballast is set to 0 KG, and all other cars are adjusted downward with negative values. The relative difference between cars stays exactly the same, but no car is artificially weighed down, so every car drives the way it's supposed to.

BoP equalises the cars. Full Grip Vision sharpens the driver.
